We have provided more than 4,000 Counter-IED rollers to customers around the world and they have been involved in over 6,000 IED incidents. They have saved vehicles, lives and limbs in their line of duty.
Our experience is founded in our 35 years of continued supply of equipment to protect soldiers from mines, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and other Explosive Remnants of War (ERW). In recent years, the threat from IEDs has increased in many conflict zones around the world, with the threat becoming ever more sophisticated in some areas, and ever more creative in others. To respond to this, Pearson Engineering has designed, developed and delivered a wide range of Counter-IED rollers, including under Urgent Operational Requirement.
We offer three types of Counter-IED rollers, each optimised for the needs of the mission, vehicle characteristics, threat type and budget. Counter-IED rollers form an essential part of the ‘Layers of Survivability’. They add protection to limit the possibility of the vehicle and its crew being affected by an IED, penetrated by that IED, directly hit by that IED or directly engaged with the IED. Our range includes battle proven, ground engaging roller systems which defeat pressure initiated explosive devices.
