Pearson Engineering has signed the Women in Defence Charter, confirming its commitment to support gender diversity across defence.
“The World in 2030 -; creating an inclusive workplace for everyone”.
Founded by ex-Army Officer Angela Owen OBE, the Women in Defence Charter encourages Government organisations and industry to commit to enhancing diversity among their workforces, and to supporting women to succeed at all levels.
Charter signatories recognise the value of a diverse workforces, and the need for enhanced support to minority groups to create a more fair and balanced society. Collectively, we are working towards a 30% by 2030 vision, with the intent to achieve 30% representation across all of defence in the next 7 years.
At Pearson Engineering, we are proud our friendly and welcoming culture, and the policies we have in place to support the diverse needs of our workforce. But we know there is more to do. By signing the Charter, we commit to keeping this on the agenda and working our way towards a world where there is better representation and opportunity for women in our sector.
