Pearson Engineering provides multi-role capability to Stryker family
Pearson Engineering has commenced production of 174 Jettison Fitting Kits (JFKs) and associated control systems for the US Army.
The JFKs are interface kits which will allow ICV variants of General Dynamics’ Stryker 8×8 vehicle to be fitted with Counter-IED and Counter-Mine equipment previously supplied by Pearson Engineering.
Pearson Engineering understands that today’s threat is asymmetric and that the nature of conflict is more unconventional than ever. In order to allow our forces to adapt to such uncertainty, they must have the tools and support to quickly adapt their equipment to the needs of their mission and to have the flexibility to configure their capability to the challenges they face.
Pearson Engineering’s interface kits allow the quick and easy attach, release and interchange of Counter-IED, Counter-Mine, Combat Earth Moving, Route Proving and Assault Bridging vehicle attachments, allowing multi-purpose and cost-effective use of a single vehicle. The JFK provides added emergency jettison functionality to rapidly detach the Front End Equipment (FEE) in the event of blast damage.
The company has a long established relationship with General Dynamics in the US, Canada and Europe and has supplied a significant quantity of FEE including Light Weight Mine Rollers, Straight Obstacle Blades, Surface Clearance Devices and Bridge Launch Mechanisms for their Stryker vehicle.
